Speaker Biographies:

Culper Spy Ring Historian Margo Arceri is a lifelong resident of Strong’s Neck. She developed this unique historical venture in conjunction with the Three Village Historical Society.

Having grown up in Strong’s Neck, she spent time with local historian Kate Wheeler Strong, descendant of the famous Anna Smith Strong of the Culper Spy Ring. Kate, who was also the author of a series of booklets entitled True Tales of the Early Days on Long Island, shared stories from the American Revolution and the Battle of Long Island. Margo was instantly hooked, and thus began her own quest to search the hidden trails of Strong’s Neck and Setauket where the British and Patriots once roamed.

This interest led Margo to get involved with the Three Village Historical Society where she was Vice President, Recording Secretary, and board member, and also served as the committee chairperson for walking tours, as a Young American’s camp director, and as a school program presenter specializing in local history.

Rosanna Minchew has over 20 years of experience in intelligence, security, and risk, including 15 years at CIA in operational and leadership positions around the world. Since leaving the CIA she has provided subject matter expertise to interdiction efforts at the U.S. border and insider risk investigations in the oil and gas industry. In 2021 Rosanna founded Spyher LLC which delivers one- to five-day immersive programs for learning and team-building. Spyher also offers events inspired by the real-world experiences of intelligence professionals. Rosanna will speak about her path to working at CIA and speak to the skill set crucial for success in human operations. She'll share stories from her time overseas, including as a young officer in a war zone and touch on the importance of public service and the national security mission. She'll share the personal benefits and sacrifices of a life in the shadows and answer your burning questions along the way.
